Clinical Psychology Center (CPC)
The Clinical Psychology Center (CPC) is operated by the Department of Psychology at The University of Montana. School Psychologists will occasionally provide confidential assessment services for children and adolescents here.
The School Psychology program’s test closet is located in this building. The test closet is where a school psychologist student will find different assessment tools that they can use in their practicum placement.

Rattlesnake Elementary School

Hellgate High School
Lolo Schools
Bonner Schools
Frenchtown Schools
Co-Teach (a university-based preschool)
Florence-Carleton Schools

Arlee School
Our Students have had wonderful experiences in these schools.
"Working at Co-Teach has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It's great to watch these children learn, make friends, and grow as individuals. They are amazing. I never thought about working with really young children (2-6), but after my experience at Co-Teach I am seriously considering the idea."
~Megan Kerzman
"The cooperative spirit between UM and the surrounding communities is impeccable! I have enjoyed my experiences in every school that I have practiced. I feel that my professors, classmates, and the community is extremely supportive of my learning." ~Karen Goll
"Practicum is an invaluable experience. Each day in a school provides an amazing opportunity to explore and grow within this profession." ~Laura Burley
These practica placements give our students a chance to apply their knowledge and have hands-on-learning from the first semester they are enrolled in the School Psychology Program at the University of Montana.
Computer Lab
The Psychology department provides a Computer Lab in the Skaggs building for all psychology students. Here students can have access to a computer and printer while on campus. Students are also able to check their student e-mail account and access the library resources from this lab.
The computer lab is where graduate students will find their individual mailboxes. The department uses these mailboxes to distribute handouts and some paperwork. The mailboxes are also useful for professors and other students to communicate with each other.
School Psychology Student
Organization (SPSO)
The School Psychology Student Organization (SPSO) is a student run organization that was started by a group of school psychology students in the spring of 2007. It is up to the students in the program to make what they want out of this organization.
The goals of this organization is to increase communication between members of the school psychology program and to promote awareness in the community about the field of school psychology.
Some activities that SPSO has completed are a mentor program between the first and second year students, a pot luck dinner after fall orientation, and a bake sale where students handed out information about school psychology.
