Effective practice of school psychology necessarily involves continued professional development. The program promotes this attitude among its students and actively participates in the development of appropriate training opportunities for practicing school psychologists by working within the Continuing Education Committee of the Montana Association of School Psychologists, local, regional and state education agencies, school districts and rural professional cooperatives. The faculty of the UM School Psychology program are committed to a community of learning in which faculty offer ongoing professional development activities for educators while educators provide feedback about the needs of teachers, administrators, children and their families.
