Psychology Club

“We are a group of students dedicated to expanding our knowledge and understanding of the vast field of psychology. We strive to apply what we learn to help each other and our community.”
The club meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in UC 207. Psych Club is open to all majors and areas of study! We are also on Facebook as “UM Psychology Club”, so become a fan and keep updated on our events!
Events/Opportunities Immediately following the UC meeting.
J’s Place: J’s Place is a home to reintroduce people struggling with addiction or mental illness back into the community. This is one of our biggest endeavors. Some members from Psych Club go to J’s Place to interact with the residents by playing games, doing crafts, and eating snacks. We do this twice a month and stay there for an hour or two. This program has been part of psychology club for the past 4 years, and it is a great opportunity for individuals to have fun and learn through the experience.
Documentaries: The club recently decided to also watch psychology related documentaries/movies following the UC meetings. These documentaries will be shown every other week, alternating with J’s Place, and will all have some psychology related focus. This event also allows members of the club to have fun and to get to know one another on a better level.
